Great service and food
Stopped by on Easter for a snack. They have great mashed potatoes!
Great food and staff we love the hometown feeling there
I can only vouch for breakfast. It's always good, portions huge. Service is timely & nice. Coffee always fresh and they give me a cup to go. No complaints here!!
Homeade food. Love Sunday's hot turkey sandwich!!! Real turkey!!!
This is a local diner in a small town. We were getting our PA inspection early one morning and this was in walking distance. It's a walk back in time. Friendly staff, locals, decent food. Lots of memorabilia on the walls and a jukebox. ☺
Went here for the first time about a month or so ago for breakfast & it was appsalutly delicious. Very clean place & staff was wonderful .
Nice employees clean
Great food at a great price.
Great breakfast for cheap!
This good place eat at
Great local place for food. Service is fast and friendly and the prices are reasonable. The only too know before you go is too bring some cash for tips as you cant add it too you credit card. They do accept credit to only pay the check
good people work there
Breakfast stop. Typical breakfast, very good. Friendly service.
Very nice restaurant! The food was very good and service was excellent! I highly recommend taking the time to check it out!
Fast and friendly service, great food, especially the specials that are served every day!
Local place with a nice menu of Staples. Seems clean and seems to have a following locally. Food was good and as expected. Was a good place to take kids as thier menu is not complex and has good comfort foods on it.
Wonderful little restaurant. Really good food. And very good service.
Had a delicious breakfast here with fast and polite service. Definitely recommend
Not bad but it is a hit or miss day as far as the availability of certain items. Can be frustrating.
We stopped at this place in the spring and although the staff was friendly it was the absolute most disappointing meal ever. The first two things we ordered from the menu were unavailable. That was ok. Then when we finally got our food it looked like something from an elementary school cafeteria; skimpiest little sandwich EVER and tiny little order of fries. And, no, prices were not so low as to expect that. We left still hungry. Then, on the way out we seen the specials, that were not on the menu at all, and one of them was something my husband was actually hungry for and hoped they had (liver and onions) but the waitress had never mentioned. We had already tipped her anyway thinking everyone was probably starving in a place like that. Great place for dieters! :)
excellent food. great customer service. The owner is a great guy!
Great food and prices as well as service
Really good food, not to busy
Used to come here as a kid with my parents. First time back in 30 years and its still the same great place. Loved it
Friendly staff, great food, very inexpensive
The waitress was very sweet and the two stars are for her. The food was, just...bad. My chicken was severely over cooked and my husband's grits were also overcooked and dry. The hushpuppies were lovely except they were coated in powdered sugar. That's something I've never seen. I do this it's a lovely spot and the staff was very nice. Maybe we just decided to visit on an off day. We both left our food on the table and paid and left. It just wasn't good.
Great food and nice service.
I took someone out for Christmas dinner and was surprised to find that on Christmas day The Diner otherwise known as Mountain Shadow gives free Christmas dinners complete with turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing and green beans and dessert! It was all delicious! I learned that besides donations of money being accepted other patrons had donated turkeys and hams. Now that gave me a real nice Christmas Feeling.
Great food, great service
Your common mom and pop type dinner. Tried the club it wasn't the best or the worst. Sausage gravy was great. I'll give them another try if I was in the area
Great little place. Food was amazing for the price.
An authentic 50's diner. On top of the Blue Ridge next to a mountain swamp and the coolest little place to have some down home food.
I'm somewhat biased, because I work here now. But I eat here each and every day. The employees are amazing. Yes, including myself. The food is hot and fresh. If you want some good homemade comfort food, come see us
Love old diners! Friendly, down home staff, good food, clean place.
Great food and my dad liked the pork chops. The waitress was very friendly and efficient.
Good food low prices
It's a hit or miss, but has been a miss the last three visits. I usually do breakfast here and eggs are usually overcooked and even chopped into a thousand pieces 3 weeks ago. Staff is always pretty friendly and service is usually pretty fast most times.
Great homestyle place for breakfast. Waitress ladies are super and know what they are doing. Diner atmosphere
Love the food & service here - we stop by every time we are in the area.
